A Safe, Nurturing After-School Program for Growing Minds

Each school day is so packed with learning, excitement and maybe a bit of weariness. The OSE after-school care program provides a safe and friendly environment for children to unwind, recharge and continue to learn after school. Families rely on Kinderssori Academy Preschool for reliable after-school care that is supported by kind and caring staff, and that is in a homely environment.

We have both planned activities and free play to provide a balance for the children after a long day at school. Children are involved in activities that promote their development, from homework help to creative play, while their parents are at work or elsewhere, and are certain their child is well cared for.

Our afterschool program is based on the Montessori approach, and meals are provided free of charge, with no extra charges and no need to bring snacks and lunches.

A Safe Space After the School Bell Rings

Once school ends, it is important for children to have a safe and nurturing environment. Staff at Kinderssori Academy Preschool are very welcoming and make a good transition from the end of the school day to after school. This uniformity aids children to settle in and feel at ease in their environment.

Groups are kept small to enable staff to attend to children’s needs. This helps children who are tired, overstimulated or just want a quiet time before group activities.

Support for Learning Beyond the Classroom

After-school is a precious opportunity to reinforce children’s school learning. Homework and reading are a part of our program, with special time allocated. We have also hands-on activities where problem-solving skills and creativity are developed.

Staff are available to work with children on schoolwork and encourage their independent learning, as well as giving opportunities for children to play, move and interact socially with other children in the program.

Consistent Daily Routine

A routine gives children a sense of security and comfort. We have an after-school program that includes snack time, homework time, outdoor time and group activities that keep children occupied from pickup until they are picked up by their parents/guardians.

A consistent routine also gives parents an idea of what to expect each day and helps them to plan accordingly, knowing their child is following a consistent, supervised schedule.

Clear Reporting and Communication

Effective child care requires effective communication. Parents are interested in how their child’s day has gone and if there is anything they need to know about. We inform parents about issues as they arise and share information with them.
